
About the Journal
SJ Public Health Africa is an international, multidisciplinary peer-reviewed journal published by SJC Publishers Company Limited. The journal aims to publish research articles from students internationally whose studies focus on all aspects of Public Health. It has both the Online (ISSN:3007-5696) and Print (ISSN: 3007-5688) medium. This is a Journal for students of Public Health at all levels, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers both locally and internationally.
Aim and scope
The journal focuses on the social determinants of health, the environmental, behavioural, and occupational correlates of health and disease, and the impact of health policies, practices and interventions on the community. We are also interested in studies that relate climate change to health. Other specific areas that the journal has an interest in include;
- Epidemiology - social and political
- Need or impact assessments with a strategic/population-level focus
- Health Protection including control of communicable diseases
- Health promotion and disease prevention
- Development of public health programs or interventions
- Public health law and ethics
- Public health governance, audit, and quality Public health theory, models and frameworks
- Public health policy and comparisons
- Capacity in public health systems and workforce
